Brightline West's rail system will span 218 miles and reach speeds of 200 mph. The route, which has full environmental clearance, will run within the median of the I-15 highway with zero grade crossings. The system will have stops in Las Vegas, Nev., as well as Victor Valley, Hesperia and Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. In California, a proposed 500-mile (805-kilometer) rail line linking Los Angeles and San Francisco was approved by voters in 2008, but has been beset by rising costs and routing disputes. A 2022 business plan by the California High-Speed Rail Authority projected the cost had more than tripled to $105 billion. Company officials say the goal is to have trains exceeding speeds of 186 mph (300 kph) — comparable to Japan’s Shinkansen bullet trains — operating in time for the Summer Olympics in Los Angeles in 2028.

Player input showed that they favored how the helmet would appear to the opposing team when dropped down into their stance that had the horns facing the opposing team. While teams such as the Rams and Vikings have had horns, they have been religated to the sides rather than curving over the top. LAS VEGAS (April 22, 2024) – Today, Brightline West officially broke ground on the nation's first true high-speed rail system which will connect Las Vegas to Southern California. The 218-mile system will be constructed in the middle of the I-15 and is based on Brightline’s vision to connect city pairs that are too short to fly and too far to drive. Hailed as the greenest form of transportation in the world, Brightline West will run zero emission, fully electric trains capable of speeds of 200 miles per hour. Brightline West is a watershed project for high-speed rail in America and will establish the foundation for the creation of a new industry and supply chain. The project was recently awarded $3 billion in funding from President Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill. The rest of the project will be privately funded and has received a total allocation of $3.5 billion in private activity bonds from USDOT.

New Uniforms Will Add To The Bottom Line
Here’s the inside story on how a bold new secondary mark came about, bringing in a Houston heritage color, and how fan interaction, the NFL, and Nike Nike fast-tracked the design. Florida-based Brightline Holdings’ Miami-line debuted in 2018 and expanded service to Orlando International Airport last September with trains reaching speeds up to 125 mph (200 kph). It offers 16 round-trips per day with one-way tickets for the 235-mile (378-kilometer) distance costing about $80.
As is the case with all uniform designs, testing on film and camera was done extensively. One thing that permeates all four uniforms focuses on the helmets. Leaning into the Houston car culture, all the helmets are gloss with metal flake. In a the right light, a Deep Steel Blue helmet will see the Battle Red in metal flake.
Bruce’s layering of abstract shapes composed of transparent inks emphasizing positive and negative linework informs his compositions. In addition, although MTA Operations does not allow high passenger loads to dictate safe operations, there is pressure to maintain travel times and headway schedule requirements (e.g., a passenger trip from Los Angeles to Long Beach in less than one hour). Continuing west, the line parallels Duarte Road, entering Monrovia, before diverging northwest just before arriving at Monrovia station. Entering Arcadia, the line crosses all street crossings on bridges except for First Avenue at the at-grade Arcadia station. Continuing west, the line reconverges with and enters the median of I-210 and continues west to Sierra Madre Villa station in Pasadena. Six stations serve different parts of Pasadena, with three of them in the freeway's median. In Old Pasadena, the line travels underground for almost half a mile, passing under Pasadena's main thoroughfare, Colorado Boulevard, which makes the Memorial Park station below grade.
As Vosik said about not having fear or anxiety about going into a new design, it’s based on the belief that with so much emphasis on speaking to fans, the designs offer something for everyone. It would be simple to say that the new uniforms were a box to click. In reality, the uniforms are an extension of ownership listening to the fan base and challenging the front office to evolve. For Cal and Hannah McNair, they understand the foundation that the late Bob and Janice McNair provided for the Texans. As they’ve become more involved, they have looked to grow that foundation.
Getting a seat wasn’t a problem, and equipped with headphones, the long ride was manageable — pleasant, even. The A and E Lines diverge at Flower Street and Washington Boulevard. E Line trains continue south along Flower Street, and the A Line turns east onto Washington Boulevard before turning south into the former Pacific Electric right-of-way at Long Beach Avenue. This historic rail corridor has four tracks, two for A Line trains and two for freight trains. Along the corridor, there are some flyovers to either eliminate grade crossings in more densely populated areas or pass over diverging freight tracks. Passengers can connect with the C Line at the Willowbrook/Rosa Parks station.

The Las Vegas Station will be located near the iconic Las Vegas Strip, on a 110-acre property north of Blue Diamond Road between I-15 and Las Vegas Boulevard. The site provides convenient access to the Harry Reid International Airport, the Las Vegas Convention Center and the Raiders’ Allegiant Stadium. The station is approximately 80,000 square feet plus parking. Another connected stretch, the (yellow) E line can now take a rider from Atlantic Station in East Los Angeles (actual East Los Angeles, near Monterey Park, not the “east side”) through Downtown, Culver City and Palms to a station in the heart of Santa Monica. When the A Line, then known as the Blue Line, first opened in 1990, the line had 54 Nippon Sharyo P865 light rail vehicles, numbered 100–153. These cars wore a unique livery of several blue stripes and a single red stripe, reflecting the Blue Line's color designation and its Pacific Electric Red Car heritage.
When Taylor Swift released “The Tortured Poets Department,” on Friday at midnight, her fan base quickly got to work decoding the album, looking for layers of meaning and insight into Ms. Swift’s life. In California, approximately 17 million Southern California residents are within 25 miles of the Brightline West station sites. Studies show that one out of every three visits to Las Vegas come from Southern California. Brightline received Biden administration backing including a $3 billion grant from federal infrastructure funds and recent approval to sell another $2.5 billion in tax-exempt bonds.
The northern extension was revived as part of the Regional Connector project in the early 2000s, and construction began in 2014. The project enabled A Line trains to run to the San Gabriel Valley via a new downtown tunnel connecting the A Line tracks to the L Line tracks. The A Line's current Azusa–Long Beach service was introduced in June 2023 with the opening of the Regional Connector, incorporating the Union Station–Pasadena–Azusa portion of the former L Line.
